SWITCH 2019-2020 Online Registration
SWITCH (School Wellness Integration Targeting Child Health) was developed to help schools plan, implement, and sustain effective school wellness programs. Resources and training have been refined through a USDA funded study and SWITCH will now be widely disseminated across the state in partnership with the ISU Extension and Outreach 4-H program.
Funding from the grant will enable registration fees to be waived for ALL schools interested in running SWITCH. However, registration through this online survey is required to initiate the enrollment process.
A limited number of $500 Mini-Grant opportunities are available. Schools interested in being considered for this supplemental funding will be required to complete additional survey items to document your plans for the mini grant. Schools that completed SWITCH in 2018/2019 will automatically receive the mini-grant stipend (presuming that the programming steps were all completed).
New schools interested in enrolling in SWITCH should be prepared to answer a few questions about SWITCH to explain your interest in enrolling in SWITCH. The videos and information about SWITCH on this page will be useful for you to become more familiar with SWITCH and how it works.
- What is the current status of wellness and health promotion programming in your school?
- Why you think SWITCH can potentially help your school?
- What are a few tangible goals that your school like to focus on during your SWITCH?
- How do you plan to utilize the $500 mini grant in your building?
Applications will be processed in the order they come in but consideration will be given to schools that have administrative support, and to schools that have a specific goal of enhancing school wellness. Consideration will also be given to ensure a wide distribution of engagement across the state.
The registration works best when completed in Firefox.
