The Story County 4-H program is always looking for volunteers to help with a variety of activities, ranging from helping with county fair events to serving as a club leader!

County 4-H News

October 18, 2019

The Story County 4-H Foundation is hosting Blue Jean Ball: Barns, Buttons, ‘N, Bows on November 9, 2019 at the Cambridge Community Center in Cambridge, IA. The evening will start at 6:00 PM and includes a silent and live auction, along with appetizers and beverages to enjoy. Tickets are available at the Story County Extension Office or from any 4-H Foundation member for $25 each.

October 18, 2019

Staff members from the Story County Iowa State University Extension and Outreach office, Iowa State 4-H Office, Chris Clover (mascot), and Cy the mascot celebrated National 4-H Week on October 11 by visiting school districts in Story County.

Twenty-one youth in grades K-6 learned about science, technology, reading, engineering, art and math (STREAM) at two fall Extension youth programs held October 7 and 14.

Forty-five 4th-6th grade 4-H youth and nine teen counselors from Boone, Hardin, Marshall, Polk, and Story Counties participated in the 16th annual Tri-County 4-H Camp July 31 through August 2 held at the Y Camp near Boone. The theme was “WALK on the WILD SIDE.”
