Babysitting Basics

A Babysitting Basics class for youth in fifth and sixth grade is being offered by ISU Extension and Outreach on March 15.  The class will run from 9:00 am to 3:30 pm. 
Participants will learn about the responsibilities of a babysitter, what employers expect, and how to care for infants and toddlers.  There will also be guest speakers teaching on the subjects of age appropriate toys and activities, safety, and basic first aid and rescue breathing.  All participants receive a book filled with information about childcare as well as a certificate of completion at the end of the course.
