Poulty Resources

While poultry cannot be displayed at the county fair this year, the poultry superintendents met with others interested in the poultry department dilemma and they have created new exhibit opportunities that will award ribbons, trophies, and premiums!
1.       Create a poultry poster to be displayed in poultry building at the county fair.
Guidelines for display consistency:

  • Size of poster should be 22 x 28 (vertical posters).  Posters may be poster board or foam board, laminated or covered with contact paper, to better preserve and display.
  • Display your name, club, and photos of your poultry including breeds at the top of the poster.
  • You are encouraged to include educational information regarding poultry in general (for the purposes of educating the public and demonstrating your knowledge of poultry).

A judge will come to poultry building on Wednesday of fair (time TBA) to visit with each exhibitor about his/her poster.  Ribbons, trophies, and premiums will be awarded to these exhibits.
2.         Skillathon/Quiz Bowl – have fun testing your poultry knowledge in teams

  • This event will be held in Bob Williams Arena on Wednesday of fair (time TBA).
  • Divisions will be juniors (grades 4-6), intermediates (grades 7-9), and seniors (grades 10-12).
  • Teams will include a minimum of 2 or maximum of 3 members per team.  You may also sign up individually and be placed on a team.
  • Exhibitors are invited to submit a poultry question with their skillathon/quiz bowl entry.

Ribbons, trophies, and premiums will be awarded to poultry skillathon/quiz bowl exhibitors.
Each exhibit opportunity (poultry poster and skillathon/quiz bowl) will require:

Poultry Exhibitor Meeting
