May Update: In order to respect the Governor and Iowa State University’s guidelines, we are creating virtual and take-home Clover Crates for registered youth to participate in the camps from home through June 16. We will have pick-up dates/places throughout local counties.
Our summer camps are offered in Cherokee, Lyon, O'Brien, Osceola and Sioux Counties each summer beginning in June and continuing through early-August. The annual camp booklet is released each spring with online registration opening shortly after.

ORANGE CITY, Iowa – Iowa State University Extension and Outreach is excited to welcome Phyllis Van Gelder as the new Sioux County K-12 Program Coordinator. Van Gelder has over 20 years of teaching experience in a variety of grades from preschool to 8th grade. She has worked in classrooms in both British Columbia, Canada and Sioux County, Iowa.

SPIRIT LAKE, Iowa – Iowa State University (ISU) Extension and Outreach is offering a five-session or three-session online course in finances of caregiving and best practices for planning ahead as you age. The course, “Planning As You Age,” will guide individuals through the steps to find and collect needed personal and financial information; the development of a book of important records; discussions of long-term care options and costs; and practical resources to help with family decision-making.
