Margaret K. Yoder Human Sciences Extension Recognition Award

Eligibility: The award shall be granted to a Human Sciences Extension staff member (county, field or state). 
Number Awarded: One
Award: $250/individual
Purpose: The purpose of this award is to recognize a Human Sciences Extension and Outreach professional who has demonstrated excellence in Extension programming in Iowa at the county, field or state level.
Award Criteria:

  • evidence of excellence in Extension programming
  • evidence may consist of a single effort or overall excellence
  • applicant must be 40 years of age or younger with five or less years of professional Extension experience

The deadline for the 2021 Margaret K. Yoder Human Sciences Extension Recognition Award nomination is February 10, 2021, 12:00 p.m. (noon), and all nominations should be sent to Linda Young at
Nominations are reviewed by ISU Extension and Outreach before submission to the VPEO and announced at the ISU Extension and Outreach Annual Conference in March. Nominators are notified by February 28. Only nominators receive notice of unsuccessful nominations.
