Emotional Intelligence in a Virtual World

This 50-minute online learning session (Zoom) will engage participants in the topic of emotional intelligence in a virtual world. Emotional intelligence refers to a distinct combination of emotional, social skills and competencies that influence our overall capability to cope effectively with the demands and pressures of work and life.

Individuals will explore the benefits and challenges to assuring Emotional Intelligence is a part of every virtual exchange – whether you are leading an online class, participating in a Zoom meeting or joining a conference call.

Participants will be able to:

· Identify an emotional hijack within themselves

· Learn strategies to negate the impact of an emotional hijack

· Understand how emotional intelligence skills can be applied when interacting in a virtual workspace
