eAccessibility in InDesign and Acrobat Pro

This workshop is for power users of Adobe InDesign CC and Adobe Acrobat Pro DC to learn to integrate eAccessibility functionality into their documents. This hands-on workshop will help educate employees on the workflow process necessary to create digitally accessible documents. We strive to create and sustain an organizational culture that includes those with visual impairment. Our goal is to build capacity and strengthen professionals’ competencies in working with diverse and underserved audiences.

This hands-on workshop will not be focusing on the generalities of how to use InDesign and Acrobat Pro, it will focus on eAccessibility functions in InDesign and Acrobat Pro. This workshop is targeting those who use InDesign and Acrobat Pro to create ISU Extension and Outreach publications (like those available through the Extension Store) and/or those who use the software regularly to create marketing materials.

What do participants learn?
  • Articulate the difference between the document workflow process you use now and one that incorporates digital accessibility
  • Integrate styles in documents that are specific for ISU Extension and Outreach
  • Integrate the features of Adobe InDesign to create digitally accessible documents which pass the accessibility checker.
  • Integrate the features of Adobe Acrobat Pro to create digitally accessible documents which pass the accessibility checker.
