Crucial Conversations workshops return
What is Crucial Conversations? It’s a course teaching skills/tools for creating a positive environment for dialogue. A crucial conversation is a discussion between two or more people where the stakes are high, opinions vary and emotions are strong. These conversations when handled poorly or ignored lead to strained relationships and dismal results. The workshop teaches participants to:
- Speak persuasively, not abrasively
- Foster teamwork and better decision making
- Build acceptance rather than resistance
- Resolve individual and group disagreements
April 9-10, 2019, Mahaska County Extension Office
Workshop is 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. both days.
Please note to those not directly affiliated with ISU Extension and Outreach, our training license only allows us to provide workshops for campus or county-paid staff and faculty, elected council members, and volunteers representing program(s) (e.g. Master Gardener, 4-H) of ISU Extension and Outreach.
