Coming Together for Racial Understanding – Virtual training now available

Coming Together for Racial Understanding (CTRU) is a one-day Professional Development workshop created by the National Cooperative Extension Service Rapid Response Team to enhance communication and engagement by identifying barriers, countering bias and building trust across racial differences.  Now Coming Together for Racial Understanding is also being offered in an on-line, educational format.

Dates and Locations:

Virtual Coming Together for Racial Understanding

  • October 21, 9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.
  • October 22, 9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.
  • Must attend both days on-line to receive a certificate

In-person Coming Together for Racial Understanding

  • December 8, Linn County Extension Office, 383 Collins Road NE, Suite 201, Cedar Rapids
  • Workshop is 9:30 a.m.- 4:30 p.m. with a 30-minute lunch break.

There is no cost for ISU Extension and Outreach staff to attend. For in-person trainings, morning refreshments will be provided and participants will need to bring their lunch.
