Iowa 4-H Youth Development is the premier youth development program of Iowa State University Extension and Outreach. Providing research-based education to K-12 youth, Iowa 4-H focuses on Healthy Living, STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math), Leadership and Civic Engagement, and Communication and the Arts. County Youth Council
The Poweshiek County 4-H Youth Council (better known as the County Council for short) is a group of high schoolers who represent the 4-H program. They act as spokespeople for local clubs, while growing their leadership and communication skills.
The council meets once a month to discuss the Poweshiek 4-H program as a whole and plan activities that benefit our program.
