County Extension Council
The Polk County Agricultural Extension Council is made of nine publically elected officials for four-year terms. The county extension council guides local educational programming by partnering with staff. From needs assessment through program implementation and evaluation of outcomes, the council represents the issues and people of the county.
We have identified these local issues as priority topics for current and future programming:
- 4-H & K-12 Youth Development
- Health & Well-being
- Community & Economic Development
- Agriculture & Natural Resources
The county extension council meets on the fourth Monday of the month at 4:00 p.m. at the Extension Office. The public is welcome to attend.
