  • Awards are based on the work and learning accomplished during the 4-H year: September 1 through August 30. Members can apply for a maximum of four project awards, one leadership award, and one citizenship award.
  • Award applications can be found below, but are also available at the Extension Office.
  • Supplemental Information is defined as two pages (not front and back) with photographs, clippings, and other documentation showing what has been done in the award category during the year. The application and supplemental information are to be stapled in the upper left corner rather than in a booklet or folder.
  • Applicants must be available for scheduled award interviews: October 19 or October 21 in the evening. Interviews will begin as early as 5pm. If an alternate date is required for participation, please contact Madisen Gaskin.
  • Criteria for awards include the following: Skills and Knowledge, Sharing Knowledge, Leadership Opportunities within area, Meeting the needs of others, Project experience and future plans, Supporting materials, and Interview skills. Each participant has the ability to earn 85 points per application/interview.
  • Awards will be announced and presented on Sunday, November 7, 2021.
  • (!) Clarification: Youth may only receive the Peer Award once as a Junior, once as an Intermediate and once as a Senior. Youth may receive a Record Book Award every year they submit a record book. This applies to Citizenship and Leadership, with the exception of the Senior Leadership category.
