Veg Out Program to be held in Indianola

Join this celebration of winter vegetable dishes and learn to fill your plate with color and vitality. You need not be a vegetarian to love this free class!
Thursday, Nov. 29, at 6:30 pm, ISU Extension and Outreach dietitian Mary Krisco will give a colorful presentation on the joys of eating squash, pumpkin, and hearty roasted root vegetables, at the Farm Bureau, 200 E. 2nd Ave., Indianola.
Class participants will sample healthy, delicious vegetable dishes they can easily make at home, such as “Guiltless Pumpkin Pie.”  They will also discover the amazing health benefits of eating more vegetables, and make a plan for including more vegetables in their meals.
Go home with a booklet of easy, low-cost veggie recipes and menu plans, plus a free potato peeler!
Registration is required! To register, please contact the Warren County Extension office at (515) 961-6237 or by Tuesday, Nov. 27. Class space is limited.
