4-H Club Financial Management

In the fall of 2018 John Lawrence, Iowa State University Vice President of Extension and Outreach, requested that each county begin the process of transitioning all 4-H Club funds within the County Extension Districts’ financial management system. The staff of the Polk County Extension office has worked diligently to develop a process to make this transition as smooth as possible for all the clubs in our county.

Upon completion of this transfer, each club will have their own account within the Polk County Extension financial system and they will maintain the authority to determine how their funds are to be used. In essence, the Polk County Extension office will provide services similar to a bank for the club.

The Polk County 4-H Club Account Transition Guide is the step by step guide for clubs to establish their accounts within the Polk County Agricultural Extension District’s financial management system. This guide has been designed to be filled out electronically for ease of submission, but can also be completed by hand.

A Polk County 4-H Club Account FAQ document specifically developed for Polk County 4-H clubs is also available as a reference.
