All 4-Hers in northwest Iowa are invited to the 2020 Northwest Iowa Beef Bonanza on Saturday, Feb. 1st, from 9:45AM-3:00PM @ ILCC.  Cost is $5 per participant.  ALL 4-H/FFA members and accompanying adults are welcome to participate for the $5 fee.  Deadline to register is Thursday, January 23rd.  Sessions will include It's Not Just a Shot in the Dark with Dr. Dan Berkland & Stacey Geerdes; Beef Skill-A-Thon - Test Your Knowledge with Amy Powell; Is it Really Meat?; and The Two T's - How to Tag & Tattoo with Beth Doran and Sidney Riemschneider.  Participants can register on a paper form or online at:

4-H members of all ages are invited to to a countywide candy workshop on Saturday, Dec. 14th, from 9:00-2:00 at the Palo Alto County Extension Office.  We will be learning to make some simple Christmas candies and putting together a container for each participant to take home to their families.  Cost is $20.00 and will include pizza for lunch.  Pre-registration is required with a maximum of 20 participants.  Deadline to register is Monday, Dec. 9th.

The 2019 Palo Alto County Fair Book is now on the web.  This is a must see if you plan to bring exhibits to the Palo Alto County Fair.  The fair book includes rules, fair classes and descriptions, premiums, etc.  Please read before you exhibit!  See link below to access the book.
