April 16, 2019

4-Hers in grades 4-6 from Palo Alto, Pocahontas, Emmet, Calhoun, Sac, and Kossuth counties will have the opportunity to travel by charter bus to Des Moines for a fun-filled day.  First stop will be the Blank Park Zoo.  Then we will board the bus and travel to the Science Center of Iowa to explore the many science displays and hands-on activities.  Following the Science Center we will visit the Kids Warrior Gym where 4-Hers can compete in some physical challenges.  After the Warrior Gym experience we will head for home, stopping for ice cream and supper along the way.  Pre-registration is required.  Seats are limited due to the number of counties included so don’t wait to sign up!  Deadline is May 29th or as soon as all spots on bus are taken.

If you have income that is $55,000 or lower and don't have an itemizations you could qualify for free tax prep and efile. If you think you qualify please call the office 712-852-2865 and ask for Angie. Dates VITA will be done in the Emmetbsurg office is Feb 12, March 12, MArch 19 and April 9. There are still appointments open for all dates.
