Iowa State University Extension and Outreach O'Brien County offers camps and youth programs all year. These activities and events are open to all youth. 4-H membership not required.

Nose to Tail Animal Academy
April 11, 2023
Supper from 5:30-6:00 p.m.
Workshops from 6:00 p.m. to 8:45 p.m.Dordt University Ag Stewardship Center
3648 US 75, Sioux CenterThe workshop will focus on selection, showmanship, nutrition and health of beef, swine, sheep, goats and poultry. Each youth will have the opportunity to participate in two livestock workshops and learn about agriculture advocacy.
- PLUNGE into 4-H Overnight Camp: April 28-29, 2023

"PLUNGE into 4-H" is a middle school overnight camp where we focus on leadership development, communication and teamwork, trying new things, exploring opportunities, and giving back to others through community service. It is open to 6th, 7th and 8th graders.
- Summer Camps: Summer 2023

ISU Extension and Outreach O'Brien County hosts a variety of camps for youth each summer. Camps generally consist of hands-on interactive learning related to Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM), Robotics, Cooking, and the Arts.

- The 2023 Summer Camp Book provides a full listing of our camps in Lyon, Osceola, Sioux, O'Brien and Cherokee Counties. The booklet can be viewed in English or Spanish.
