The Iowa Master Gardener program with Iowa State University Extension and Outreach will host a trio of Growing Season webcasts this summer. Topics include learning about insects, tree care, organic vegetables, composting and growing roses. The two-hour webcasts will be shown at the ISU Extension and Outreach Lyon County Office (710 N, 2nd Ave. E, Rock Rapids, IA) on July 26, August 23 and September 20. The webcasts are free of charge and open to everyone.

Master Gardeners come from a variety of backgrounds. They are passionate about serving their community and sharing gardening best practices. Master Gardeners are individuals who have taken the Master Gardener training and share their time and expertise as volunteers in community gardens, city beautification projects and farmers markets, just to name a few examples.
