Iowa State University Extension and Outreach is currently accepting applicants for the Robotics, STEM and Cooking & the Arts Summer Educators. This individual will serve Lyon, Osceola, Sioux, O'Brien and Cherokee Counties from May 20, 2020 through August 12, 2020. Submit cover letter, resume and three professional references to Beth Bunkers at bbunkers@iastate.edu by Friday, November 15.

Over 43.5 million family caregivers in America provide a vast array of emotional, financial, nursing, social, homemaking and other services to older adults or adults with chronic conditions. To provide local support for family caregivers, Iowa State University (ISU) Extension and Outreach will host Powerful Tools for Caregivers at the First Presbyterian Church in Paullina from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. for six Tuesdays beginning Oct. 15.

Iowa State University (ISU) Extension and Outreach will host a three-session“Healthy & Homemade” cooking series from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesdays, Oct. 15, 22 and 29 at the ISU Extension and Outreach office located at 400 Central Avenue Northwest in Orange City. The “Healthy & Homemade” program focuses on using a person’s time, money and skills wisely to save money while still preparing nutritious and safe meals.

ORANGE CITY, Iowa – Iowa State University (ISU) Extension and Outreach will host a “Planning Ahead” lunch learning session on Wednesday, Sept. 25 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the ISU Extension and Outreach Sioux County office (400 Central Ave. NW, Orange City). The session and light lunch are free and open to the public. Jan Monahan, Human Sciences Specialist in Family Finance with ISU Extension and Outreach, who will present the program, said that the session is all about planning ahead in case of emergencies and for your future care.

Women in Agriculture are invited to attend a Fall Fiesta hosted by Iowa State University (ISU) Extension and Outreach Dickinson County on Sept. 19 beginning at 6:00 p.m. at their office located at the fairgrounds in Spirit Lake. The program is being hosted as part of the regional Northwest Iowa Annie’s Alumni group which strives to provide opportunities for education and networking of local Northwest Iowa women in agriculture. Annie’s Alumni is a spin-off of the well-known Extension “Annie’s Project” Women in Ag program. All women with an interest in agriculture are welcome to attend.
