Submit Proposals for Workshops at Fifth Community Food Systems Event

Conference for food systems practitioners set for Jan. 9-10, in West Des Moines

AMES, Iowa – Anyone working in food systems development nationwide is invited to submit a proposal for a presentation or poster for the Community Food Systems annual event, Jan. 9-10, 2020.

The 2020 theme is food entrepreneurship and inclusive partnerships. The deadline for submission is Nov. 8.

The Community Food Systems annual event highlights best practices around the nation within all areas of community food systems. Community Food Systems is a joint program of FFED and the Community and Economic Development Program of ISU Extension and Outreach.

The community food systems event on Jan. 10 will feature keynotes, open space, breakouts and poster session presentations. Two pre-conference workshops will take place Jan. 9: a Local Food Leader train-the-trainer workshop, and a Business Model Canvas workshop.
