Astro Camp events, an opportunity to bring NASA STEM lessons to the youth of Iowa, are coming to Iowa this summer.
Three Iowa youth received third-place awards at the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair, May 14-19 in Los Angeles, Calif. Eight Iowa students were awarded the opportunity to attend or participate in the international event at the State Science and Technology Fair of Iowa held in March.
Iowa 4-H is committed to serving all Iowa youth. That’s a tall claim, but one Iowa 4-H has been fulfilling for nearly 120 years as the youth development program of Iowa State University Extension and Outreach.
Seven hundred students are expected to exhibit their projects at the State Science + Technology Fair of Iowa, March 30-31 at Hilton Coliseum on the Iowa State University campus in Ames.
The new online computer game “Rock Your Watershed!” is fun for all ages. It entertains while teaching players about productivity and environmental impacts, based on land management choices on 10 parcels of land within a watershed.
