Janet Smith has accepted the position of director of field operations with Iowa State University Extension and Outreach serving the southern half of Iowa. She begins the position March 15.
Iowa State University Extension and Outreach is conducting a statewide audience assessment to learn how Iowans prefer to access, receive and engage with extension education – both in person and virtually. The survey has been extended through March 31.
Bruce Arendt has accepted the position of regional director with Iowa State University Extension and Outreach serving Howard, Winneshiek, Allamakee and Chickasaw counties in northeastern Iowa. He begins the position Feb. 6.
Brynn Friedrich has accepted the position of regional director with Iowa State University Extension and Outreach serving Bremer, Buchanan, Butler and Fayette counties in northern Iowa. She begins the position Jan. 3, 2023.
Jason Henderson has been appointed vice president of Iowa State University’s extension and outreach programs. Henderson, who currently serves as director of extension and senior associate dean for faculty development in the Purdue University College of Agriculture, as well as assistant vice provost for engagement, will join Iowa State on April 3, 2023.

Sarah Merrifield has accepted the position of regional director with Iowa State University Extension and Outreach serving Cerro Gordo, Floyd, Franklin, Mitchell and Worth counties. She begins the position on July 18.
Donovan Olson has accepted the position of regional director with Iowa State University Extension and Outreach serving Story County. He begins serving Story County on June 1.
