Randall Cass is the new extension specialist focused on beekeeping and pollinators. His main project will be examining the health of honey bees and native bees in prairies and soybean fields.
Randall Cass, entomologist with ISU Extension and Outreach, will be the event’s primary presenter and will discuss the benefits of prairie to native bees and pollinators.
Beekeepers will get a full day of instruction and hands-on learning from Iowa State experts, and apiary experts from across the state at the Iowa Honey Producers Association summer field day June 15.
