Four workshops will be held this summer and fall to help Technical Service Providers (TSPs), Certified Crop Advisers (CCAs) and other advisors who work directly with farmers and landowners achieve their certification in prairie strip design, establishment and monitoring.
Technical Service Providers, Certified Crop Advisers and other advisers who work directly with farmers and landowners have two workshop options this fall to complete the first step of a three-part certification program to become a prairie strips consultant.
Iowa State University held five workshops in 2017 to train farm advisers to become prairie strips consultants. The workshops were the first of a three-part program to achieve certification in prairie strip design, establishment and monitoring.
A new educational video designed to offer insight and support to agriculture and conservation professionals interested in private consulting is now available from Iowa State University Extension and Outreach.
