Nearly 60 middle school youth representing nine schools across six Iowa counties met at Upper Iowa University on Nov. 16 to pilot the leadership and civic engagement experience, “Youth Voice in Action.”
Iowa 4-H held a healthy living retreat in October, offering Iowa youth in grades 8-12 a chance to learn more about wellness and wellbeing. Youth interested in becoming an Iowa 4-H healthy living ambassador should apply before Dec. 16.
During Healthy Living Day, Iowa State Fair visitors were able to take part in a number of activities to generate interest in learning how to have fun and be healthy.

Iowa 4-H Youth Development invites teens interested in addressing community health improvements to attend the National 4-H Healthy Living Summit, Feb.12-15, 2021. Participants should register by Jan. 18 to secure a spot.
Registration is now open for SWITCH, School Wellness Integration Targeting Child Health. The innovative school wellness initiative supports and enhances school wellness programming for fourth through eighth-grade students. Through SWITCH, schools can help students to "Switch what they Do, View and Chew."
