MOUNT PLEASANT, Iowa -- The Iowa Pork Industry Center and Iowa State University Extension and Outreach are teaming up to provide training for pork producers and others who need certification in either Pork Quality Assurance Plus program or Transport Quality Assurance. A certification session for each has been set on Tuesday, June 6, in Henry County.
The session will be held at the ISU Extension and Outreach Henry County office, 127 N. Main St., Mount Pleasant, and will be taught by ISU Extension and Outreach swine program specialist Tom Miller.
The PQA Plus session is set for 9:30 a.m. and the TQA training will begin at 1 p.m. Cost is $25 per session and is payable at the door.
"Anyone who plans to attend should let us know as soon as possible to ensure that we have adequate materials for everyone," Miller said.
