The Master Gardener series offered by Iowa State University Extension and Outreach is designed to expand gardening knowledge and allow gardeners to connect with experts from across the field.
This year's Growing Together Mini-Grant projects with Iowa State University Extension and Outreach resulted in 33 Iowa counties growing 91,772 pounds of fruits and vegetables that were donated to 119 food pantries and distribution sites.
A record 36 gardening-related projects will be funded by Growing Together Mini-Grants, according to Iowa State University Extension and Outreach.
Application is open for the Iowa State University Extension and Outreach's Summer Master Gardener training, which is being offered in multiple counties across Iowa.
Iowans interested in completing Master Gardener training this fall can register with one of 66 Iowa State University Extension and Outreach county offices.
Master Gardener volunteers from Dickinson County have received the Search for Excellence Award from Iowa State University Extension and Outreach.
Volunteers in 33 counties planted and harvested fruits and vegetables that were donated to 115 food pantries and distribution sites serving almost 67,000 Iowans. The effort was part of Iowa State University Extension and Outreach's Growing Together Iowa project.

Master Gardener Training will be offered by Iowa State University Extension and Outreach in February. The application period begins Jan. 9 and the first training session is Feb. 20.
