ServSafe®
December 28, 2019

For restaurants, foodservice managers and workers, ServSafe® is the food safety certification course developed by the National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation and is one of several recognized by the Conference on Food Protection. The 8-hour course concludes with a certification exam. Iowa regulations require the person in charge of a foodservice to have demonstrated knowledge of food safety principles; ServSafe® certification is one way to demonstrate this knowledge.

Pesticide Record Keeping App

2020 Farm Bill Decisions
November 19, 2019

ISU Extension and Outreach will host a "2020 Farm Bill Decisions" program on Monday, January 6, 2020, at 5:30 p.m. to discuss important considerations for Iowa farmland owners and operators.  The approximately 3 hours in length meeting will be held at the Durant community Center in Durant, Iowa.  

Upcoming Iowa State University Extension and Outreach meetings will provide guidance for Iowa farmland owners and operators reviewing their options under the 2018 Farm Bill.  Farmland owners and operators have the opportunity to make a new decision on their enrollment and election between the commodity programs, Agriculture Risk Coverage (ARC) or Price Loss Coverage (PLC).

Diane Brooks - was honored as the 2018 Muscatine County 4-H Hall of Fame Inductee.   While her kids were in 4-H you could always see her lending a helping hand to others as well as her own children.  She has been a great asset to the Muscatine County 4-H program.  Thank you, Diane, for representing Muscatine County in the 4-H Hall of Fame.
