Livestock Exhibitors 

In 2020, June 1st is the livestock and animal identification deadline. Most livestock must be identified or verified on the individual member's 4HOnline profile prior to 11:59 p.m. on June 1st. This deadline includes:

  • Market and Breeding Beef,
  • Dairy Cattle, 
  • Dairy and Breeding Goats, 
  • Dogs, 
  • Horses (Leased and Owned)
  • Meat Goats,
  • Sheep,
  • and Swine. 

Rabbits will need to be tattooed and identified on 4HOnline before June 15th.  Poutlry will need to be identified by June 15th.

Animal Care and Management Disclosure Statements are required for most livestock and animal projects. Find your project area below.

The Iowa 4-H 202 is a great document that helps summarize regulations relating to showing 4-H livestock.

FairEntry will open on June 1st and remain open until June 30th. More information will be sent to families closer to the entry date.
