About ISU Extension and Outreach: Monona County

Welcome - Iowa State University Extension and Outreach serves 99 county campuses, connecting the needs of Iowans with Iowa State University research and resources. We provide education and partnerships designed to solves today's problems and prepare for the future.

The Monona County Extension and Iowa State University Extension and Outreach helps the people in Monona County and the state of Iowa in many ways.  The 2018 Monona County Stakeholder's Report  summarizes the programs, events, and efforts.  Developing partners in these events has increased participation, cooperative ventures for programs, and positive attitudes in Monona County.

Monona County Extension is also a part of Region 5 that consists of Monona, Plymouth and Woodbury County.  These counties are led by Sherry McGill, REED.

The Monona County Extension Council, county staff and ISU Extension and Outreach staff work together to provide research-based learning opportunities for our citizens. Through this partnership, we carry Iowa State University’s land-grant mission across Monona County.

Our 2017 ISU Extension & Outreach Annual Report tells how we act on that commitment.

We can anticipate trends, build relationships, and catalyze opportunities because we are part of the ongoing life of our communities, committed to healthy people, healthy environments, and healthy economies.
