Make a Meal Night

Get your hands dirty in the kitchen while being guided ty the event leader! Monona County Public Health & Monona County Extension are excited to announce that they will be hosting three fun and interactive Make a Meal Night events.

During each event, attendees will get to prepare and make a meal that they will then be able to take home with them to enjoy the next day or to freeze. Helpful information will be shared regarding: Making a nutritious meal on a budget, Food handling safety, and The importance of family meals and how to involve the entire family.

In addition to the meal that attendees will get to bring home with them, another meal will be served at the beginning of each event for dinner. Recipes will be provided for each meal. Childcare will be provided but children are encouraged to help participate in the making of each meal!

The dates for the events are: 

  • Thursday, January 18, Mapleton Community Center, 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm; RSVP by January 12
  • Thursday, February 22, Whiting Community Center, 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm; RSVP by February 16
  • Thursday, May 3, Soldier Community Center, 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm; RSVP by April 27
