Join us in Manchester

The first time Deb Walser was sent in to her grandmother’s gardens to pick raspberries, eating more than she brought back, she was hooked. Gardening was for her. In high school she took care of the school greenhouse, setting up experiments for the teachers. Many plants went home with her for the summer. These days a terrific day, rain or shine, is working in her gardens until the mosquitoes bite. Deb has been a Master Gardener in Linn County since 1995. You may have heard her on WMT 600. Professionally Deb has worked at a local garden center in Cedar Rapids for eighteen years, the last seventeen as a perennial specialist.
