Come to Reiman Gardens to hear from the experts at Iowa State University’s Plant & Insect Diagnostic Clinic (PIDC) as they discuss and demonstrate official methods for testing and identifying plant pests and pathogens. Learn where to go when you have questions about plants or insects in your own yard, and how you can become more involved in detection and diagnosis.
Ready…Set…Grow… will be held on Saturday March 21, 2020 from 8:00 am – 2:15 pm at Sauk Valley Community College in Dixon, IL.
We offer a keynote speaker; 12 breakout sessions over a wide variety of topics including Eastern Bluebirds: Little Blue Gem in Your Garden, The Cook’s Garden, Fun with Fermentation, “Are My Trees and Plants in Trouble?” New Invaders Update, and many more; vendors with unique items for purchase; a Master Gardener Q & A Desk; and Continental Breakfast & Buffet Lunch. This year’s keynote address, Apples, Getting to the Core of things!, will be given by Richard Hentschel, University of Illinois Extension, Horticulture Educator.
