Come to hear a presentation in Glenwood from Gabbi Edwards, Urban Forester with Iowa State University Extension will provide a presentation on best practices for how to correctly prune trees including hardwoods, fruit trees and shrubs. Additional topics include why pruning is important to prevent hazard trees, diseases and pests, when to prune, and general cutting techniques. Attendees are encouraged to bring photos of their existing yard and Gabbi will answer questions as time allows.
Presented by Barry Laws, Quilted Gardens and Nursery. This presentation is free and open to the public. This year’s keynote address, Apples, Getting to the Core of things!, will be given by Richard Hentschel, University of Illinois Extension, Horticulture Educator.
