Cedar Falls - Starting in Mid-April and running through May 18th, local Master Gardeners and growing experts will be presenting live classes on a variety of gardening and growing topics. In most cases, the same topic will be covered at both libraries on Tuesday and Thursday evenings in the same week. This will allow more people access to the information and a greater chance for people to attend a class they may have missed.

These classes are FREE and open to the public. There is no pre-registration and the public may attend as many or few classes as they wish as these class topics are presented as individual units. Doors open at 6:45 each night with the classes starting at 7pm and running for about 1 hour with time for questions and answers afterward.

Michelle Patten will give a presentation on "Patio Containers". Michelle will share tips for caring for patio container plants, choosing the right plants, soil, fertilizer, etc. She will also discuss several new trends in the tropical industry, as well as a few new Annuals, Tropical and Perennials for the 2020 growing season. This seminar will be held in the ISU Mills County Extension located on the Mills County Fairgrounds, Malvern, IA. There is a small fee of $2.00 to help cover the cost.
