About the presenter: Jack Van Laar has served in Iowa State Extension and Outreach for 42 years. As the county extension agriculture and natural resources program manager and local resource, he has answered numerous calls about lawn and garden concerns. Jack has coordinated and presented Master Gardener county and multi-county sessions over the years. Jack is one of the founding members of the Decatur County Chapter of Pheasants Forever and has been inducted into the Iowa Pheasants Forever Hall of Fame. As wildlife and horticultural issues intertwine in the backyard and garden, he enjoys helping homeowners accommodate and enjoy this natural interface.
