Iowa Master Gardeners are invited to the American Hosta Society’s national convention at the Gateway Hotel and Conference Center in Ames, Iowa from June 7th through the 10th. The theme of the convention is “Fields of Hosta Dreams”. The public is invited to view the beautiful Hosta Leaf Show on June 9th from 1-5 p.m. and June 10th from 9 am to 1 p.m. Visitors will be able to see and purchase some of the newest hostas available at the Hosta Market Place at the same times as the Hosta Leaf Show. One of the features of the Convention is the annual auction where unusual and often rare hostas are offered for sale. The public is invited to participate in the auction that begins at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, June 9th. Additional information can be found at www.hostaconvention.org.
