The Polk County Extension Office is hosting a Farmland Owners Workshop on Friday, February 17, 2023. Pre-registration is required on or before February 13th by calling (515) 957-576 or emailing the Polk County Extension Office at polkextoffice@iastate.edu. The registration fee is $45 per individual or $75 per couple, which is payable at the door. The topics will include Market Updates, The Macro View of Agriculture Logistics, Comparing Leasing Arrangements, Your Extension and a Strong Iowa, and Ag Law & Tax Updates for Farmland Owners. Those presenting will be ISU Professor of Economics Chad Hart, ISU Associate Professor of Economics Bobby Martens, ISU Assistant Professor of Economics Alejandro Plastina, Vice President of Iowa State Extension and Outreach John Lawrence, and ISU Center of Agricultural Law and Taxation Kristine Tidgren.
With registration, you will get coffee, snacks, a catered lunch, and all educational materials. The fees for service will be used to offset direct expenses and to support the Agriculture and Natural Resources County Extension Program.
