Join 4-H

Our typical enrollment period is from early September through May 15th.
4-H is a program offered for youth in the 4th through the 12th grades. There is a separate "Clover Kids" program for children K-3 .

Pick a club.

You may choose a club based on location, age, or special interest, but you are not required to join the club that meets closest to your address. To see a list of 4-H clubs in Mahaska County click HERE. If club leader information is not current from the club directory, please contact Amy. We are happy to assist you in contacting a club leader. It is important that you make contact with the club leaders, as they can give you specific information about the club such as meeting times, special club rules, club size, club events, etc.

Register.  2020-21 Registration Opened October 1, 2020!

The 4-H Online database is the method for Online Registration.
The Database tells the club leader and the Extension office who you are, where you live, and what your project interests are. There is also an annual program fee of $35 to enroll in 4-H. Currently, we don't have the ability to accept payment on-line. This fee helps to support the state 4-H program. If you feel that this fee would constitute an undue financial burden, financial aid is available from the Mahaska County 4-H Foundation.  Looking for something else?  Click here to find the Clover Kids registration forms and 4-H Honor Council application form.
