
Iowa State University Extension and Outreach in Hancock and Kossuth Counties are hosting a Farmland Leasing Meeting on Monday, August 21, at 9:00 a.m. to address questions that landowners, tenants, or other interested individuals have about farmland leasing.
The meeting will be held at the Wesley Community Center located at 105 2nd St. S, Wesley and will be approximately 2 ½ hours in length. ISU Extension and Outreach Farm Business Management Specialist Kelvin Leibold will present the meeting.
Meetings will focus on trends in land values, rental rates, landownership and tenure, incorporating conservation practices on leased farmland, and issues impacting rental rates for the next year in Iowa agriculture. Each workshop attendee will also receive a booklet of reference materials for farm leasing arrangements.
