The Jones County Extension District is seeking a Summer Program Assistant. This is a temporary term position for the summer of 2021.

Summer Program Assistant will provide support working collaboratively with county extension staff to implement a variety of summer programs. This position will assist with and provide support for the implementation of county 4-H and youth summer events, including County 4-H/FFA fair, clover kids and summer discovery camps.

The Jones County Clover Kid program is now taking registrations! Registrations are open now until November 20th.  Clover Kids will be held virtually this year with to-go bags. Clover Kids runs from January to June.

The Jones County Cattlemen are again offering three breed heifers to a qualifying individual, as they have in previous years. The goal of the program is to assist in the start up or build upon a youth’s current cow calf program. The four-year program is geared toward freshman in high school. Please see the application for more details.
