McNutt 4-H Rotary Leadership Award Presented

The Iowa City Noon Rotary Club presented the McNutt 4-H Rotary Leadership Award to two outstanding Johnson County 4-H youth on April 18.   The recipients are Wyatt Heisterkamp and Kailee Marshek.  Each received a $600 scholarship.    Pictured (l-r) John McNutt, Wyatt Heisterkamp, Kailee Marshek and Steve Quigley, Rotary President.

Wyatt Heisterkamp is the son of Drs. Kirk and Christine Heisterkamp. Wyatt has engulfed himself in many activities throughout his high school years at Cedar Rapids Prairie. He has participated in Varsity Trap, Baseball, and Speech and Drama for four years. His leadership roles include but are not limited to; Monroe Hustlers 4-H club president, treasurer for both Speech and Drama and National Honor Society. He was nominated and accepted as a National Council on Youth Leadership.  Wyatt’s plans for the future are to attend Simpson college where he will shoot collegiate shotgun sports, perform in theatre, debate, speech, and volunteerism

Kailee Marshek is the daughter of Keith and Camie Marshek.  While attending Lone Tree High School, she has been involved in FFA, Family Career and Community Leaders of America, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Student Leadership Team, Business Professionals of America, Church Youth Group, Dance Team, Honor Roll, Choir, Spanish Club, Speech, and  Volleyball. Kailee is serving on the county council, exhibiting projects and animals at the county fair and state fair.   She plans to attend Black Hawk College, to double major in Ag Business and Animal Science and be on their Livestock Judging Team.
