Food Stand Manager

Manage the 4-H Food Stand, assist office in scheduling workers to ensure all food safety practices are accomplished. Make sure all supplies are available. The 4-H Food Stand will provide will provide quality food products to customers, and will meet Health Department regulations. Food Stand will provide opportunities for 4-H members, leaders, and parents to work together to develop teamwork and other leadership skills.


o Apply for food stand license

o Arrange clean up before and after the fair

o Check prices of foods and report to Extension staff to be discussed at June Extension Council meeting

o Order supplies and food

o Provide food sanitation training for workers

o Meet with health department officials to meet their requirements as needed

o Supervise shifts of workers

o Coordinate delivery of supplies

o Provide final report at end of fair

o Coordinate clean up following fair and organize an inspection with Extension Council members

o Have a ServSafe Certification

o Have completed 4-H volunteer screening and trainings

o Other duties as assigned

  • 10+ hours prior to the fair
  • 12+ hours each day of the fair
