1. Assist with and provide support for the organization/operation of county 4-H/Youth summer activities and events including educational presentations; clothing event; county fair FAST and livestock events; 4-H Jr. Camp and Summer Discovery Camp
2. Assist with other summer youth educational programs at selected sites in Jones County.
3. Supervise children in activities/programs and ensure their safety.
4. Serve as a resource person for activities/programs.
5. Assist with leadership and training for youth and volunteers.
6. Attend in-service training(s) when necessary.
7. Submit records of program participation/evaluation; submit timesheet and travel reimbursement, etc. as required to Supervisor.
8. Maintain regular contact with county staff and Youth Program Specialists.
9. Perform other duties as assigned under supervision as required for successful operation.
1. High school diploma. Education beyond preferred.
2. Knowledge of the 4-H community club program.
3. Ability to use the computer for data entry and word processing.
4. Demonstrated interest and ability to work with youth
5. Demonstrated responsibility and leadership skills.
6. Ability to communicate with youth, parents, and Extension professionals.
7. Access to reliable transportation across the county.
