Responsibilities

Iowa State University Extension & Outreach – Jefferson County is looking for an energetic and reliable summer youth education intern. This 40-hour-per-week, 12-week position provides organization and delivery of day camps and assists with other youth and adult programs and events. The camps will primarily target Kindergarten through 6th-grade youth, allowing them to engage in hands-on learning during the summer break, with activities emphasizing STEM, healthy living, and agricultural sciences.  

Qualifications

Requirements: a high school diploma, previous experience working with youth, a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, successfully passing the background screening, and the ability to lift 40 pounds.

Additional Information

The position will remain open until filled, with applications received by March 1, 2023, given first priority.
