Objective

The summer intern is responsible for providing assistance to county staff in the areas of programming, customer service, and public relations/marketing. This position is temporary (approximately June 3 to August 9, 2024), part-time (approximately 220 hours) under the supervision of the Program Coordinator.  Must be available to work 40 hours July 23-29th.

Responsibilities

What follows is the basic job description; other duties may be assigned.

DUTIES

  1. Gather and organize Camp/Program materials
  2. Assist in delivering summer programming as needed
  3. Report any safety problems or issues immediately to supervisor
  4. Aid in preparation for 2024 fair
Qualifications

 

  1. 16 or older
  2. Current Student interested in or working toward a degree in education, communication, agriculture, or related field.
  3. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  4. Reliable and prompt
  5. Experience working with children and knowledge of child development
  6. Pleasant personality, eagerness to work with children
  7. Good customer service skills
  8. Able to maintain confidentiality
  9. Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  10. Pass a background check
