Clayton County ISU Extension and Outreach is seeking a Summer Fair Assistant. The assistant will support the County Youth Coordinator in preparation for 4-H events at the Clayton County Fair including communication, marketing, event management, organization of fair materials, and general office duties. Other projects will be assigned based on selected candidate's skill set.

• Assist County Youth Coordinator with organizing and carrying out duties and activities in preparation for the Clayton County Fair
• Create communication and marketing materials for 4-H//FFA livestock shows, static projects, and other fair-related events
• Manage Clayton County 4-H social media accounts (Facebook)
• Work cooperatively with the Clayton County Extension staff and Council, Clayton County Fair board, and other associated organizations in the community
• Provide information via email, phone calls, mail, newsletter, etc to 4-H members, families, club leaders, livestock superintendents, and council members
• Organize and prepare materials for pre-fair meeting
• Take photos during 4-H events
• Organize program, workshop, event, and county fair materials
• Learn and assist with 4-H Online and Fair Entry databases
• Handle phone calls and emails related to 4-H with youth, parents, volunteers, and other professionals 
• Assist volunteers and staff with variety of tasks

• High school diploma or college student
• Strong communication and writing skills
• Demonstrated interest and ability to work with youth
• Computer literacy
• Valid driver's license and access to motor vehicle with proof of liability insurance
• Successful completion of background check
