Calhoun County office is accepting applications for custodial services for approximately 2,200 square feet of office space. Approximately 2 to 3 hours every other week. Starting wage is $17/hour. This position will work independently scheduling time to clean 2 to 3 hours bi-weekly with some responsibilities less often.
Cleaning Tasks:
Office Complex:
- Vacuum all carpeted rooms and rugs.
- Sweep and mop linoleum area of lobby and hall.
- Empty all wastebaskets and put in new liners.
- Dust file cabinets, shelves, windowsills, heat registers, fire extinguishers, etc.
- Surface clean desk chairs as needed. Clean chair mats as needed.
- Wash lobby countertop.
- Clean glass on the inside outside of front door.
- Wipe off/disinfect all door handles.
Restrooms:
- Clean restroom facilities thoroughly, including toilets, sinks and mirrors.
- Empty wastebaskets and put in new liners.
- Sweep and mop floors.
Meeting Room/Kitchen:
- Vacuum floor; sweep and mop linoleum area.
- Clean kitchen sink, counter, etc.
- Empty wastebaskets and put in new liners.
- Clean tables that are set up in meeting room.
- Dust registers, picture frames, etc. (monthly)
Other:
- Clean inside and outside of big front windows monthly or as needed.
- Take garbage outside and put in dumpster.
Report the following to the office manager:
- Any malfunction of equipment.
- Burned out light bulbs.
- When any supplies run low.
- Anything else you feel necessary.
**Cleaning is to be done after hours and when there is no events scheduled in the office.
**Turn off all lights and make sure front and back doors are locked.
**A successful background screening is a condition of employment.
Previous custodian/janitorial experience preferred but not required.
