4-H youth programs provide opportunities for youth to develop skills they can use throughout their life. Iowa 4-H builds upon a century of experience as it fosters positive youth development that is based on the needs and strengths of youth, their families, and communities. 4-H provides opportunities to young people to become competent, caring, contributing, confident and connected citizens with character. 
 
4-H also offers youth camps, trips and scholarships for its members.

Join a Jefferson County 4-H or Clover Kid Club

Jefferson County 4-H and Jefferson County Extension are once again hosting their annual Trunk or Treat! Local businesses and 4-H families will have their trunks decorated and candy ready for all trunk-or-treaters. There will also be games and activities. Come out for an afternoon of fun! It's our treat.

From communications to home improvement, Iowa 4-H county fair judges and those considering being a 4-H judge will be trained Saturday, November 3rd  from 9:00 am – 3:30 pm at the Mahaska County Extension Office in Oskaloosa.

The 4-H Teen Council is a leadership team of 9th-12th graders that work together to plan, promote, and lead 4-H activities for the county’s membership. Applications are due by Wednesday, September 12th at 4:30pm.
